About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable, passionate, and licensed Nail Technology Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will provide instruction in both theory and practical nail technology, guiding students through our 750 hour nail technology program and helping prepare them for successful careers and state board licensure.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Alabama Cosmetology or Nail Technician License
Valid Alabama Instructor License
Prior teaching or training experience preferred (in a classroom, salon, or spa setting)
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of skincare theory, facial techniques, hair removal, makeup application, sanitation, and state board requirements.
Passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring estheticians.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a professional and positive classroom environment.
Comfortable with hands-on demonstrations and guiding students through practical services.
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn school systems for attendance, grading, and curriculum delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide engaging instruction to students in both theory and practical nail technology.
Prepare lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and Alabama state board requirements.
Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Ensure safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times.
Maintain accurate student records including attendance, hours, and grades.
Support students in preparing for state licensing exams.
Participate in school events, instructor trainings, and team meetings.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
