About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced On-Call Esthetician Instructor to provide instructional support when full-time instructors are out due to illness, vacation, or other approved absences. This position is ideal for licensed professionals who want to stay active in the industry and give back through teaching—without the commitment of a fixed schedule.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Alabama Cosmetology / Esthetician Instructor License
Prior teaching or training experience preferred
Flexible availability and willingness to be called in on short notice when needed
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of hair cutting, coloring, chemical treatments, styling, nail care, skincare theory, facial techniques, hair removal, makeup application, safety & sanitation, and state board requirements.
Passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring estheticians and cosmetologists.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a professional and positive classroom environment.
Comfortable with hands-on demonstrations and guiding students through practical services.
Basic computer skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
Step in to teach scheduled theory and practical esthetics classes as needed.
Follow the school’s curriculum and maintain instructional continuity in the classroom and on the clinic floor.
Provide supervision and hands-on support during student services and skill-building exercises.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional learning environment at all times.
Record student attendance and activity when covering class sessions.
Communicate with administrative staff and lead instructors to ensure smooth coverage transitions.
